Make Money In A World of Endless Opportunity

Giants crush you. Even in fairy tales it's rare to find a nurturing giant even lady giants are tough critters. And there are lots of giants on the web; all the world's biggest offline companies plus the web's home-grown efforts - Google, Amazon and the like.

So how can you, sitting in your fabled pajamas at the kitchen table make money against that lot? Well, until recently there was no way to really explain what everyone was telling you based on instinct, self-interest or outright ignorance: there is room for everyone on the web.

It's called the long tail: the economics of abundance' and its guru is the editor of Wired Magazine Chris Anderson. Now don't let that put you off, this is fascinating stuff! The summary is simple: regular offline business is ruled by scarcity, digital business simply isn't!

Take a record store. They have so many feet of shelves and each CD takes up say half an inch. Result, the store can only carry so many CDs. So what do they do? They carry the ones that sell the most the hits.'

Now take iTunes: there is literally no limit to the inventory iTunes can carry. It sits in digital form and could be every song in every version ever recorded! The same is true of books: which is why Google is trying to snaffle them all first, and Apple is driving into video.

So what has this to do with you? Well two things: first the big web marketers have discovered that if you offer everything, "everything sells something!" Hence the term long tail.

Imagine the profile of a mouse standing on her back legs nose pointing in the air! The body of the mouse is the hits' with the biggest hit being the nose. The tail of the mouse (infinitely long) is the sales of everything else. The regular record store holds inventory corresponding to the body of the mouse. But, if you hold the inventory for free and it costs nothing to deliver it, then any sale out of the tail is pure profit! Wow! That's the economics of abundance: and it's only right now being understood.

But, I hear you object, that's records, books, and videos. True, but the same applies to everything where the restrictions of scarcity are removed.

What's eBay but a long tail of gazillions of real things? What's Amazon, the long tail of books and anything else they can get their hands on? So it continues the used book business after languishing for decades is booming after the dispersed and happenstance inventories held by individual stores were linked together into a single online database. The books are still in the stores, but the sales are global!

Now if you are an Amazon, or a Salesforce.com in software, or any of the other aggregators' of the long tail', you have five problems:

1. You need to put together the technology to hold the inventory and disperse it expensive and technically finnicky, but straightforward

2. You need to create the tools that customers can use to search the long tail which is VERY long. Search engines, recommendations, reviews all kinds of tools are emerging to provide filters at no cost to the company once they are in place.

3. You need to get your hands on the longest tail you can. Easier now Apple has broken through with the record industry, but really difficult if you want to have a long tail of TV shows because of the problem of tracing down the music rights. Google may be in a battle, but the stakes in the ancient book long tail are huge hence its determination to scan everything ever published.

4. You need to capture the emerging long tail. These are the products and creative offerings that have not yet been conceived. You do this by giving away the tools of creation. Give away (virtually) the software to create new music and provide a guaranteed market.

5. You need to meet the sales needs of the provider whether they are trying to make a go of it commercially or doing it for reasons of personal satisfaction. Put your book on Amazon and you can go in and tweak the marketing and this is just the beginning.

So what are the implications for web home-based businesses?

It means first you can expect sales no matter if you are 1st or 5,000th on the tail.

It means you can find a place on the web through an aggregator for what ever you produce.

It means that multiple channels of distribution are opening that can have different roles in your mix. Let's take a concrete example, that new book you just wrote.

* Well you could sell it yourself in electronic form, or

* Convert it into a physical book at Lulu (a 'tail' of self-pubished books) and end up with electronic and soft/hard copy versions yielding a higher net return.

* Lulu will submit it to Ingrams the book wholesalers and so it will find its way to the long tails run by Amazon, Barnes & Noble and the rest for a different, lower return but a much higher exposure and access to the recommendations system.

* You could sell it through Clickbank a long tail of Affiliates and make 50% margin.

* Finally, you can sell or liquidate it through eBay!

If you have something to offer, a tail is emerging that you can join. And most important, it's in everyone's interest to keep the tail growing. On the web we have invented the nurturing giant'. To me that spells perpetual opportunity!

And that's no fairy story!

Why It's So Important to Make Legitimate RuneScape Money

You can have all the RuneScape money you will ever need easily and there are only two very basic things you have to do to get it. The first thing is to do a little bit of work and the second is to know the best strategies to make legitimate RuneScape money.

Honestly, no one really wants to do the work for you so if you really want to make lots of RuneScape money and become a millionaire, then you need to put in a little time & effort to get good at the game. However, to create an elite level 85+ RuneScape character and make massive RuneScape money in less than a week, youll need to follow top secret strategies that only top notch pro players know about.

However, I tell you one sure way to totally destroy your game, your reputation, and peoples respect for you and that it is to beg for items or gold. The desperate act of begging tells other RuneScape players three things.

1. You dont respect yourself enough to make your own RuneScape money.

2. You dont respect the people you beg for RuneScape Money.

3. You want to take advantage of their hard work to make the RuneScape Money in the first place.

Thats why you must never, ever beg for RuneScape money. Believe me, its a lot easier to make RuneScape money the legitimate way than it is to resort to begging (or scamming, which is even worse). In a desperate moment asking for RuneScape money may seem like the easy thing to do but an hour later youll probably end up losing your RuneScape money and most importantly your self respect. Seriously, in that same hour you could have easily made 50K in RuneScape money employing the right tactics.

Sure, there are people who will give away things for free to low-levels. As a matter of fact, I have a friend that once gave away a whole set of rune to random passer bys and Ive even given away party hats to total strangers (Im an old player). The important thing to know is that RuneScape gamers usually only give away stuff to people that arent begging for it in the first place! Its funny but true so if another RuneScape player surprises you with a freebie, be thankful for the gift but move on and definitely dont try to make a RuneScape living that way.

I have nothing to say about scamming except that it totally sucks. If youre willing to stoop to the lowest level of dishonesty to get your money by scamming or hacking (especially when theres a far easier and more honest way), then theres nothing anyone can do to help you.

Have you ever seen a pro player beg for RuneScape money? Have you ever seen a level 80+ beg because they lost all their RuneScape money in the wildy? Have you ever heard of a top notch player that doesnt have time to make RuneScape money or to train stats? No so if you want to preserve your pride and learn to play RuneScape at an elite level always follow the simple rules I just told you about.

The Bichon Frise Dog Is a Social Animal But Is It Right For You?

The Bichon Frise (pronounced Bee-Shone Freeze) is a curly all-white dog with a puffball appearance and a very puffy head. It has been around since the 1300s, and throughout their history they have been popular among Italian sailors, the Italian and French royal courts, and eventually with French street performers. Their name Bichon Frise is in reference to their curly white coat.

Their diverse history of human companionship is proof of the Bichon Frises easy going temperament. These Non-Sporting dogs are independent, gallant, and full of energy. The Bichon loves people and is happiest when he is in his owners company. However, the Bichon Frise is also friendly to strangers, adores playing with children and doesnt mind other family pets.

The Bichon is intelligent and is easy to train. By nature, he is a natural worker, which is why he got along well with street performers and made a wonderful circus dog once upon a time. This also means that the Bichon can be quite the little clown and enjoys learning tricks.

As was previously mentioned, the Bichon Frise is covered from head to tail in a curly white coat. His coat does not shed, making him a great companion for those who suffer from allergies. Nonetheless, the coat of the Bichon needs daily brushing to keep it free from mats. He will also need a monthly bath, and will require a full coat clipping every few months.

Since the Bichons coat gives him such a fluffy appearance, you may be surprised to learn that he isnt as large as he may appear. For instance, the height of the Bichon Frise only reaches 12 inches and they weigh between 7 12 pounds.

It is important to keep a Bichon in trim shape to avoid the possibility of him becoming overweight. This is best achieved by feeding him a sufficient diet and providing him with significant exercise. Because of his size, and the fact that they can happily live in an apartment, one may think that the Bichon does not need too much exercise. This couldnt be further from the truth. The Bichon Frise enjoys being active and likes talking long walks and the freedom to run around in the open.

Those interested in the Bichon Frise will discover that he is a long lived companion with an average life expectancy of 15 years or more. Bichons have a few hereditary problems such as cataracts, ear ailments, knee dislocation and epilepsy. Nonetheless, the Bichon is still one of the more healthy breeds available today.

The Bichon Frise will become miserable if left along frequently. He loves to be included in the activities of his family and owner as much as possible. Human companionship is what makes the Bichon a happy go lucky canine and the best friend you could ask for.

Richard Cussons cares about dogs of all breeds and the Bichon Frise in particular. You can find out more about Bichon Frise at http://www.bichonfrisesavvy.com/.

The Leo Wanta Saga, Pt. 20: Next Few Days Critical In Whether $4.5 Trillion Wanta Money Repatriated For Americans

The Ambassador Leo Wanta story has been ringing in the ears of high level officials all over the world for the last two weeks ever since President Bush and the Federal Reserve Board refused to honor a $4.5 trillion written agreement to release the money for the betterment of the American economy.

Wanta had previously entered into an agreement with high level U.S. authorities and a number of world wide banks to repatriate the massive amount of money.

But his efforts have been blocked by officials who are afraid to open up a "financial can of worms," leading to the misuse of trillions of offshore funds by Bush Sr., Clinton and many other high level U.S, officials.

Wanta has been declared legal trustor of more than $27.5 trillion in offshore funds amassed when he was instructed by President Ronald Reagan to destabilize the Russian currency at the end of the Cold War, which turned into a highly successful financial program beyond Wanta and Reagan's wildest dreams.

But instead of using the money to strengthen America after Reagan was out of the picture, Bush Sr. and Clinton devised a plan to use the money for their own underhanded purposes, jailing Wanta in the process, as they then created phony front companies and illegal trusts to use the money illegally.

Once Wanta was released from jail, he began a quest to recover the money against enormous odds and a level of corruption called by financial observers as the "biggest bank heist in the history of the world."

Although the incredible details of Wanta's patriotic search for trillions is too long and complicated for this short article, the story supposedly had a quasi-ending when the written settlement in May, assisted by two federal court judges, was entered into for the repatriation of $4.5 trillion.

However, when Wanta became alarmed by long delays, he gave officials until July 31 to release the money, saying this publicly on Greg Szymanski's radio show, The Investigative Journal, and confirmed by Michael C. Cottrell, treasurer of his AmeriTrust Groupe, Inc., the company established to return the money to the people in the form of an immediate $1.575 trillion in federal tax money and the balance of the money set aside for improving the bewildered American economy.

Furthermore, when the July 31 deadline came and went, Wanta vowed to take all steps necessary to recover the money and as this story went to publication, Cottrell said "we are moving forward," remaining confident in the final goal, which is full and final receipt for the money due Ambassador Wanta .

Besides the $4.5 trillion settlement, financial observers claim the Wanta saga is the tip of the ice berg, revealing a vast war chest of more than $300 trillion used by the New World Order, headed up in America by Bush Sr.

Coincidently, this amount was even confirmed by Bush Sr. in the federal court room of Judge Deborah Batts in 1989 when arrogantly stood up in front of lawyers and said when confronted with the possibility of the exposure and elimination of his illegal cash cow, the Federal Reserve:

"Over my dead body will this ever happen and I have a $300 trillion dollar war chest to fight it."

Although no firm time frame has been set for the resolution of the Wanta matter, observers claim next week is a critical period to watch.

Further, observers say to watch for "the bigger picture" as the Wanta's exposure of the misuse of trillions of offshore money could have reverberations worldwide leading to a possible shake-up in the Federal Reserve banking system and a round up to justice of many high level officials who have been illegally using trillions of dollars behind the backs of the American people and the people of the world.

However, while the officials do their financial wrangling, let's look at a sampling of emails, only a handful of thousands sent to Arctic Beacon by average Americans made aware of what has been called one of the most important stories in American history:

From Windsong in California:

I have been following this closely because of some mention of it on a forum I read quite often. I admire Ambassador Wanta for standing for truth and not being moved by people that have the power and influence on their side. It seems he is up against impossible odds. So I suppose my question is this, in light of the government's refusal to sign off on this, what is Wanta able to do? I hope all are exposed that are to blame for this, but other than that what leverage does he have. My prayers are with him.

From Loretta Weston in Arkansas:

I am editor for a small independent family-oriented newspaper in Arkansas USA interested in reporting on the Leo Wanta story. We are an all-volunteer staff where all funds go directly to printing/postage costs. However, we want to help spread the word to our over 4000 loyal readers in the US & Costa Rica. How can we get access to the full articles on your web site?

From Garrett Seick in Washington state:

For my part, I have contacted several journalists, editors and elected officials (WA) and Senate & Congressional Committees (Budget, Finance, etc). The responses/replies received from media-types indicated personal agreement that this issue needs exposure, but that it was outside the "scope" of the publication, or that it was too big to handle. On the elected official side - mostly standard-fare like this from Washington State Senator Patty Murray: (note: my reply to her response appears first)

Senator Murray,

All due respect, Ma'am. Thoughtful deliberation?... How about action on this issue! Come on, Senator! Get educated about it & bring this to the public eye. If not, you've been duly informed & will go down in history as complicit! Please, take action on this issue & help save America - land of the free (?) & home of the BRAVE.

Dear Mr. Seick:

Thank you for contacting my office. Your thoughtful comments regarding Leo Wanta are greatly appreciated. Representing the state of Washington in the United States Senate is a solemn responsibility, and matters which come before this body must be decided not in haste, but through thoughtful deliberation. ... Please be assured that I will keep your views in mind. Again, thank you for your comments. I hope you will stay in touch. Sincerely, Patty Murray United States Senator

From Jeanette Woodward-Partridge:

I wrote you the other day about my fear that if this government got a hold of $27.8 trillion dollars the world would be a nuclear graveyard in short order. I had an idea and I was wondering if you could run it by Ambassador Wanta next time you speak to him. Could these funds be divided among the LEGAL citizens of the US? That is every U.S. citizen, native or naturalized would get an equal share. Can you imagine how that would effect the economy of the world?! I'm so concerned about that money falling into the clutches of the powers that be that as I said I'd rather see it destroyed than to help fund the annihilation of the planet.

From Don DeHaven:

I have been e-mailing this story to my e-mail list and I have asked that they do the same. My list covers many states and in turn as it gets passed on many more states. I have also e-mailed Congressional reps as to my demands. I know that many on my list have done like wise. Keep up the work and please tell Mr. Wanta that he is not alone. The revolution has started and as many more Americans wake up to the criminal elements in government many more will be involved.

Veterinarians Set Record Straight

Most pet owners have become very educated about their pet and the health of their pet. Still, there are many others who tend to believe in the old wives tales and myths that have been passed around for some time now. Im sure most of you have heard at least one, and probably more, of the following myths. Veterinarians at the American Animal Hospital Association(AAHA) have since enlightened us to many of those tales and to the facts concerning some of the most commonly heard myths.

Myth: Yeast will prevent fleas from feasting on your pet.

Fact: There is still no scientific proof that yeast prevents fleas, though it is a good source of B vitamins.

Myth: Pets(dogs/cats) will get worms if they drink milk.

Fact: This is no more true for your pets than it is for you! Pets do lose their tolerance for milk early, however, around the age of 6 -8 weeks of age due to their loss of lactose(an enzyme essential for the digestion of milk products).

Young animals may have diarrhea if they drink milk due to the above factors. Still, most puppies are infected with worms through maternal milk or during pregnancy which is why treating both mother and litters for worms is so important.

Myth: If a purebred bitch inadvertently becomes pregnant by a mix breed dog, this disallows her ability to have purebred puppies in future litters.

Fact: The only puppies that will be mixed breed are the ones resulting from this breeding. If bred with a purebred mate in the future, those puppies will also be purebred.

Myth:Dogs and cats should be allowed one heat cycle, or one litter of pups, before being spayed.

Fact: A major benefit of being spayed may be lost if this is allowed to happen!

Research shows that animals spayed before their first heat have a significantly smaller chance of developing future health problems such as breast cancer.

Myth: Dogs which scoot their rear ends on the ground have worms.

Fact: Sometimes dogs having tapeworms may exhibit this behavior, though the overwhelming majority of animals doing this have inflamed or overly full anal sacs.

The anal sacs are structures located on either side of the anus which when closed up cause an itching or burning sensation in your pets anal area. As a result the animal scoots its rear on the ground to try and relieve this situation.

Myth: Any dog having a black mouth is a purebred.

Fact: Though some purebred dogs have a blackened color inside their mouth, this is no indication of any other animal being a purebred. Pigmentation is the only reason for this color, caused by a substance called melanin. Indeed, this substance called melanin is responsible for birthmarks in humans and also the lack of, or availability of, such skin tones as a tan. This color alone is not indicative of a purebred dog.

Myth:Puppies need calcium supplements for strong bones and erect ears.

Fact: If you are feeding your animals a diet that is nutritionally complete, then no further supplements are needed. Too much calcium, in fact, can be harmful to your dog.
